This program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to receive a Michigan Standard Elementary Teaching Certificate, which allows the holder to teach all subjects in kindergarten through grade 5, in kindergarten through grade 8 in self-contained classrooms, and mathematics in grades 6 through 8. Students complete the mathematics major and the elementary studies minor. Upon graduating and passing the required state tests, students will be eligible to apply for certification.
